Resurgo is delighted to have been announced as the biggest beneficiary in England’s largest ever venture philanthropy partnership funding package, from Impetus-PEF.

Resurgo will receive £1.2 million in cash over three years, as part of a package of support that also includes consultancy from Impetus-PEF and elsewhere, valued at an additional £2.3 million.

The grant is focused specifically on our impact management project, a major change programme to strengthen our impact and underpin the quality of the Spear programme as we roll out our ambitious growth plans. This will help us to build on our aspiration to be at the cutting edge of emerging best practice, ensuring our work is as effective as it can be and ensuring value for money.

Impetus-PEF’s expertise in supporting us through a remarkably comprehensive impact review and change-management programme over the last two years has been truly revolutionary for Resurgo.

Tom Jackson, Chief Executive of Resurgo said, “Our vision for Spear is to see young people’s lives changed and to raise their aspirations. We are immensely grateful to Impetus-PEF for making such a significant and generous grant to Resurgo, which is a real vote of confidence in our work. Our partnership together will help us to increase our impact so that many more unemployed young people from disadvantaged backgrounds get into, and succeed in, work in the years ahead.

“We also want to take this opportunity to thank all our supporters for their continued support of our work. This grant will enable us to focus our core fundraising activity on our work to expand Spear through our local partners.”
