Resurgo Ventures Showcase: Social Impact Accelerator Entrepreneurs Present their Business Ideas

Over 160 guests from the social impact scene gathered in Kensington on Thursday night to hear six inspiring social entrepreneurs present their business ideas. Each founder explained their motivation for setting up a socially responsible business, and outlined their area of social impact, which included mental health resilience, foodbanks, arts education and modern slavery.

The Ventures Showcase marked the culmination of twelve weeks of hard work by the enterprise founders, as they were supported and coached through topics including financial modelling, business planning, marketing, branding, and delivering social impact.  The evening had a great interactive buzz, as the audience were posed questions and their answers gathered and presented in real time.

Gordon Eichhorst, Head of Resurgo Ventures, said: “The quality of the presentations at tonight’s Showcase is a testament to the hard work of these inspiring entrepreneurs over the course of the Social Impact Accelerator, as well as their passion for the causes they advocate. With Resurgo’s support, alongside the generous contributions of industry experts, these six ventures are in a strong position to go out and thrive. We can’t wait to see what they do next, and are committed to supporting them as they grow.”

Tom Jackson, Resurgo’s Chief Exeuctive, said: “The Showcase plays an exciting part in Resurgo’s vision to bring people together to transform society. The energy in the room tonight speaks of the quality of the social enterprises and the causes they stand for. I want to thank all those who came together to support and encourage them.”

The next Social Impact Accelerator starts on 30 April, where we’ll be joined by entrepreneurs passionate about ethical clothing, sustainable coffee, fairtrade cosmetics and a better way to give to individuals that are homeless.
