Revd Tom Jackson
Tom Jackson is the founder and Chief Executive of Resurgo Trust. A former litigation lawyer and entrepreneur, he was co-founder of the Centre for Social Justice think tank in Westminster. Tom holds an MBA from Henley Business School and is a Church of England minister at Holy Trinity Brompton.
Jo Rice is Managing Director of Resurgo, and founder of the Spear programme. Prior to Resurgo, Jo’s background was in corporate coaching and she is passionate about embedding a coaching culture into organisations. Through Resurgo, Jo works with a range of high-profile businesses and charities, and is a trustee of International Justice Mission UK.
Chief Operating Officer
Ali joined Resurgo from Tearfund, where he was formerly Head of Marketing Strategy. He has a wealth of experience managing fundraising, marketing, and data insight teams. Before that he worked as a Management Consultant at Bearing Point. He was moved to pursue a career in the charity sector after spending time in India and seeing extreme poverty first hand.
Head of Coaching
Iona is an International Coach Federation-accredited coach at MCC level, having trained with the Academy of Executive Coaching. She is one of the Executive Directors at Resurgo, a social impact organisation, overseeing a 30-strong team running the award-winning Spear Programme, coaching young people from disadvantaged backgrounds into sustained employment. Iona also works for Resurgo’s Consulting arm, engaging leaders in business in how to adopt a coaching approach in their leadership style.
Head of Resurgo Ventures
Gordon is Head of Resurgo Ventures. Prior to Resurgo, Gordon founded an emerging markets hedge fund which he ran for 5 years. He has a deep interest in technology and as an investment banker advised technology companies globally from 1997-2011. Gordon started his career designing spacecraft and sits on the NASA Advisory Council Committee for Innovation, Technology and Engineering.
Head of Philanthropy
Geraldine Payne joined the team in May 2014. Geraldine has over twelve years’ experience working in fundraising within both national and international charities. Prior to joining Resurgo, Geraldine headed up the Trust team at UNICEF UK.
Head of Major Gifts
Julia has over ten years’ experience working in both the national and international charitable sectors as well as in the publishing industry. Prior to joining Resurgo Trust, Julia worked with major donors and corporate partners at an international development agency.
Head of Impact
Pete has worked in the charity sector for over ten years, and joined Resurgo as part of the coaching team in 2009 before managing a number of the central Spear centres. He joined the Impact team while Spear was embarking on the Theory of Change process, and pioneered Resurgo’s internal quality and development work with a particular focus on coaching quality. Pete now oversees Impact for Resurgo, and also delivers our Coaching For Leadership programme.
Head of Media & Communications
Julia has over ten years’ experience in the charity sector, having worked across communications, marketing and advocacy. Before joining the team in 2015, she was Innovation Manager at World Vision. Julia has a Master’s Degree in English Literature from the University of Leeds.
Head of Finance
Luke joined the team in 2014 having previously worked in audit at an accountancy firm specialising in the charitable, financial services, retail and fashion sectors. Luke studied Accounting & Finance at The University of Kent Business School and is ACCA qualified.
Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager
Heather joins the Corporate Partnerships team after fifteen years’ experience in sales, marketing and account management. Her background includes roles with The Walt Disney Company; reality television shows for MTV, FOX, Bravo and BBC Worldwide and marketing, branding and design agencies in the US, UK and UAE. Heather holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Drama from the University of Exeter and a Master’s Degree in International Marketing from London South Bank University.
