Resurgo’s initiatives are Spear, an programme helping young people, Resurgo Ventures, supporting emerging social entrepreneurs to make a positive impact on society and Resurgo Consulting, providing coaching services to organisations to increase trust and improve outcomes.
Through our award-winning Spear programme, we work with unemployed young people, supporting them to get into work or education. 89% have at least one indicator of disadvantage, and over 75% of program completers are still in work a year later.
Spear – Graduate Coach Training Programme (starting as soon as possible)
Are you a confident individual with an interest in coaching and a passion to work as part of the local church to see young people reach their potential?
Together with our partner churches across London and in Brighton, we are now recruiting for the Spear Graduate Coach Training Programme – a paid, dynamic, one year opportunity to develop coaching and leadership skills, and have at the same time an impact on communities in partnership with the local church, of which you will be required to become an active member.
Join our experienced and passionate team of Coaches who work together to equip and empower unemployed 16 – 24 year olds to overcome disadvantage and move into sustainable work or further education.
While being part of vibrant staff teams at our partner churches, you will receive intensive training delivered by Resurgo’s professional Coaches and build coaching skills through working on the front line with vulnerable young people. Many of our Graduate Coaches progress into more senior roles in our charity.

Spear Lead Coach
£25,500 (Full Time)
We have eight Spear centres based in churches across London, as well as a new centre opening in Brighton in September. We are now looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Spear team as Lead Coach based in a number of these centres.
This exciting role as a Lead Coach will involve delivering training in life and career skills, and overseeing and taking responsibility for the recruitment of students to the programme. The successful applicant will be provided with professional training in leadership, personal development and coaching.
We are looking for someone with great people skills, a highly developed emotional intelligence and an enthusiastic and proactive temperament. Previous experience in training is preferred and a confidence in leading and motivating groups is essential. Ideally, applicants would have been in work for a minimum of two years.
The programme is run in partnership with local churches and the role may require that the successful applicant attends the partner church.

Spear Centre Manager
£27,000 during training, increasing to £29,200 (Full-time)
The role of Centre Manager is to oversee the day to day running of the Spear programme at the centre to enable excellent delivery of the Spear programme as an expression of the Christian life and faith. You will have responsibility for coaching and developing the Graduate and Lead coaches at the Spear centre, and together with the partner church you will develop local networking and partnership opportunities.
We are looking for dynamic and engaging Coaches with great communication skills and emotional intelligence, and at least two years’ experience in training and development design and delivery, both to manage our Kennington centre, and for new centres opening in the coming months. You will be highly self-motivated and have strong leadership skills and initiative, with excellent organisational skills and confidence working with corporates.
We are looking to recruit a minimum of one person to start in January 2019, with some flexibility for applicants who are available earlier.

Are you a dynamic and engaging coach with a passion to help young people reach their potential through Apprenticeships? This could be the role for you!
Building on our market-leading approach to helping young people from disadvantaged backgrounds into sustained employment through Spear, Resurgo have embarked on an Apprenticeships Project to further increase our impact.
You will be working directly with the apprentices to deliver programmes in Customer Service (Level 2) and Business Administration (Level 3), alongside Functional Skills for those who need it. Your dynamic and engaging coaching style will empower the apprentices to overcome barriers and to successfully begin their careers.
In this pilot phase of the project, you will also be supporting the Project Leader to refine and develop the curriculum and delivery model to maximise the impact of our apprenticeships.
We’re looking for an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills, who ideally has experience in teaching functional skills, to be part of the pilot phase of this exciting new project with excellent opportunities for growth and progression.
