Spear Lead Coach

£25,500, Full Time

Resurgo’s initiatives are Spear, an award-winning programme helping young unemployed people into work or education, Resurgo Ventures, supporting emerging social entrepreneurs to make a positive impact on society and Resurgo Consulting, providing coaching services to organisations to increase trust and improve outcomes.

Through our Spear programme, we work with young people who most need help- 89% have at least one indicator of disadvantage. The program works-  over 75% of program completers are still in work a year later.

In 2016 we were listed as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces in the ‘Great Place to Work’ Awards. In 2017 we won the Princess Royal Training Awards which honours employers that have created outstanding training and skills development programmes.

We have 8 Spear centres based in churches across London. We are now looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Spear team as Lead Coach based in ones of these centres.

This exciting role as a Lead Coach will involve delivering training in life and career skills, and overseeing and taking responsibility for the recruitment of students to the programme. The successful applicant will be provided with professional training in personal development and coaching.

We are looking for someone with great people skills, a highly developed emotional intelligence and an enthusiastic and proactive temperament. Previous experience in training is preferred and a confidence in leading and motivating groups is essential. Ideally, applicants would have been in work for a minimum of 2 years.

The programme is run in partnership with local churches and the role may require that the successful applicant attends the partner Church.

Spear – Graduate Coach Training Programme

£18,600, Full Time

In 2017 Resurgo won the Princess Royal Training Awards which honours employers that have created outstanding training and skills development programmes.

We are now recruiting for the Spear Graduate Coach Training Programme – a paid, dynamic, one year opportunity to develop coaching and leadership skills.

Join our experienced and passionate team of Coaches who work together to equip and empower unemployed 16 – 24 year olds to overcome disadvantage and move into sustainable work or further education.

You will receive intensive training delivered by our professional Coaches and build coaching skills through working on the front line with vulnerable young people. Many of our Graduate Coaches progress into more senior roles in our charity.

This London-based opportunity is well suited to someone with a vision for engaging in social impact, looking to develop your career in the charity sector, or looking for a career change. 

As the programme is run in partnership with local churches,  you will be required to become an active member of one of our partner churches.

We will consider applications from exceptional candidates who do not hold a degree qualification.

Apprenticeships Project Leader

£29.2k-£31.6k (pro rata dependent on experience)

Resurgo’s existing initiatives are Spear, an award-winning programme helping young unemployed people into work or education, Resurgo Ventures, supporting emerging social entrepreneurs to make a positive impact on society and Resurgo Consulting, providing coaching services to organisations to increase trust and improve outcomes.

This new role as Apprenticeships Project Leader represents an exciting opportunity to build on Resurgo’s market leading approach to help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds into sustained employment through leading the Apprenticeships project. They will project manage and lead the development of Resurgo’s Apprenticeship offer to develop the internal capability, curriculum and corporate relationships to maximise the opportunity of Apprenticeships to bring sustainable impact and funding for young people.

We are looking for an excellent communicator with strong leadership capabilities and organisational skills. The successful applicant will be a self-starter, able to take initiative and will have project management experience.
